Paediatric Nurses
Job Purpose
- To provide nursing care to sick children.
- To record children’s vital signs and lab results.
- To communicate with children of different abilities and developmental levels about their symptoms, talking to patients and their families about medical issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to paediatric patients.
- Monitor and assess the health and development of children.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and implement care for paediatric patients.
- Educate and support families on child health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for paediatric patients.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed (GNC) in Zambia.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Paediatric Nurse Certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in paediatric nursing preferred.
- Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to child healthcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
