Job description:
Specific Job Responsibility
- Supports the Mine Planning function and operational teams
- Assist with developing systems and tools in relation to mine planning, management and reporting; and provide support to the operations;
- Daily ore and development reporting
- Daily drilling reporting and weekly, monthly forecasting
- Assist with mine surveying, ventilation readings, geotechnical mapping, mine dewatering systems
- Providing plans and sections for development, production drilling and blasting crews
- Other duties as assigned.
- Taking all necessary actions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislated regulations, policies, work standards, and governance requirements in area of accountability.
- Assist with the development and maintaining processes & procedures, standards and guidelines for the mining operation and mine technical services;
- Assist with the compilation of the mine plans and budgets, including cost models.

- Knowledge of mine planning software is required. This includes and is not limited to Minesight, XPAC, Talpac.

Experience required to perform in this job
- Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Zambia;
- Ensure that the company can achieve Zero Harm by actively identifying and reporting hazards using the site’s hazard reporting system;
- Actively identifying risks and threats to safely achieving targets and develop, establish and manage programs to ensure risk elimination/minimization;
Qualifications
- Recognized Tertiary Qualification in BEng in Mining Engineering
- Light vehicle (Manual) driving license
