JOB POSITION: STAFF BUS DRIVER
DEPARTMENT: TRASNPORT & LOGISTICS
REPORTS TO: HEAD DRIVER/HR
JOB SUMMARY:
To transport Members of staff in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
- Pick up and drop off of staff from and to company designated pick up and drop off locations
- Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
- Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
- Schedule regular car service appointments with the company registered workshops/vendors and report any issues
- Ensure that the Bus is clean and tidy at all times
- Manage the weekly fuel allocation in a timely and efficient manner
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work long hours
- Must have basic knowledge on various use mechanics
- Must have some knowledge on first aid

- Human Resources
- Head Driver
- Operations manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Proven experience as a Driver with minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Able to drive Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM= 9000)
- A valid driver’s license class C and above
- A clean driving record
- Knowledge of area roads and neighbourhoods
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
