SAFETY OFFICER
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Practice safe working techniques.
- Implementation of Company Safety Programs
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings to share best practice techniques.
- Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
- Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly.
- Promote safety initiatives.
- Compile and maintain relevant reports and registers to ensure compliance.
- Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
- Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to identify work equipment hazards, possible adjustments, and deterioration are remedied before it results in a health and safety risk.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Min of Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment Health or any related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid competency certificates
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
- Must be a male aged between 25 and 35 years of age.
- Must possess a strong personality and ability to enforce safety measures and adherence to all SOP’s.
