RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To understand and learn the functioning of a Finance function, principles and fundamentals of accounting with an aim to enhance your practical knowledge in Finance
  • Support the finance function in various accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Timely preparation and submission of returns to various statutory bodies.
  • Preparation of payments and capturing in the System accurately.
  • Preparation of invoices to customers and following up payments against such invoices
  • Accurate capturing of approved supplier invoices and prepare reconciliations from time to time
  • Prepare reconciliations of various accounts including debtors, creditors, cashbook e.t.c from time to time to ensure the accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform banking, collections and other related tasks as necessary.
  • Liaise with Suppliers and customers for reconciliation purposes
  • Follow up debtors to ensure timely receipt of payments from various customers.
  • Ensure consistency between our accounting records and those of the suppliers, customers, affiliate or partner.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation of various business units and ensure compliance at all times
  • Work with other members of the team for day to day financial operations of the NetOne Group and any administrative tasks that may arise time to time

Undertaking any other duties/tasks (as assigned) or responsibility required to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the job within the overall objectives of NetOne.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Level 2 ZICA or ACCA
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience
  • Excellent working knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive approach with a high level of attention to detail
  • Must be systematic and results-oriented personality
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
