Strategy
- Build strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders to understand the business and enable the assurance process.
- Contribute to the assessment of risk culture in audit projects.
Client
- Contribute to assessing and identifying practices in the scope of audit projects which negatively impact client experience and raise recommendations to improve client experience.
Licence to Operate
- Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements on internal audit.
- Adhere to applicable internal SBG policies and procedures.
- Adhere to GIA methodology, policies and procedures.
Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a risk assessment on all areas of risk origination and risk management of the product or business area responsible for, covering all the risk types to inform audit planning and reporting.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a risk-based, resourced, and relevant assurance plan for the product or business area responsible for.
- Contribute to the development of a risk-based audit project scope, through audit walk-throughs, data gathering and analysis, stakeholder engagement and critical thinking.
- Execute in accordance with GIA methodology data led audit testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, determine audit findings and residual risk, and agree remediation to address root causes.
- Finalize in accordance with GIA methodology the determination of risk-based audit findings, identifying the root cause and risk impact and agreeing remedial actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Execute audit project closure steps in accordance with GIA methodology.
- Obtain and document (on the audit system) audit finding remediation updates from stakeholders responsible for remediation. Following completion of remediation, execute audit finding validation in accordance with GIA methodology.
- Maintain accurate and complete data on audits and audit findings on the audit system and contribute to data preparation and collection as required for governance reporting.
People
- Identify and develop areas for personal growth, considering skill, behavioural and leadership development, through interventions, on-the-job learning or coaching. Where required provide on the job guidance and support to new joiners.
Data
- Adhere to GIA data standards and relevant Group policies in obtaining and using data for assurance.
- Capture and maintain GIA audit and finding data accurately and timeously to contribute towards insights and business management.
- Contribute to identifying and implementing effective use cases of data in automated assurance.
Minimum Qualifications
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Audit
Other Qualifications, certifications, or professional memberships
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Any Relevant Degree (e.g., Audit, Finance, Legal, IT, Data)
Other Preferred Qualifications, certifications, or professional memberships
- Certified Information Security Management (CISM)
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
Experience Required
Internal Audit
Internal Audit
1-2 years
Working with data Experience analysing and interpreting data and understanding IT controls.
3-4 years
Experience in performing IT general control and application controls reviews, as well as IT process audits. Experience in IT security and infrastructure reviews is preferable.
