Human Resource Manager TopFloor Limited

Our client, an NGO that works in Youth Representation and Advocacy is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Human Resources (HR) Manager to join their team. As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training and development, and HR policy implementation. You will work closely with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives and ensure the effective implementation of HR programs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to meet organizational needs and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and making final hiring decisions.
  • Manage employee relations, including handling employee complaints, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of any changes and advising management accordingly.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to HR staff, ensuring their professional growth and development.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement HR initiatives and projects that align with organizational goals and values.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar HR managerial role, preferably in a non-governmental organisational environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Should be a registered member of ZIHRM.
  • Proficient knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Zambia.
  • Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment and selection processes.
  • Strong understanding of performance management and employee development.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional certification in HR Management is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
