Job Title: Business Development Associate
Department: Sales and Marketing
Location: Lusaka (80% Onsite, 20% Remote)
Position Type: Full-time
Objective: As a Business Development Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s sales efforts and enhancing its market presence. Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, from developing strategic marketing initiatives to fostering strong client relationships. This position requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in sales and marketing, as well as the ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation and prospecting.
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Marketing Campaigns:
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Monitor the performance of marketing initiatives and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Content Development
- Contribute to the creation of compelling and effective marketing collateral, including product brochures, presentations, promotion videos and website content.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels.
Sales Presentations
- Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations to potential clients.
- Customize presentations based on client needs and industry trends.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Customer Service, and Finance, to ensure alignment on sales and marketing strategies.
- Provide input into product development based on market feedback.
Qualifications
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better in English and Mathematics
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing roles, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with CRM software and marketing analytics tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Should have a working computer and mobile phone.
