Anda Solutions now seeks to recruit a Head Chef to join the budding company. This is a permanent position subject to a probationary period of 3 months.
Reporting Lines
The Head Chef will report directly to the Kabwe Branch Manager under the overall supervision of the Managing Director.
Specific tasks and responsibilities
- Lead menu planning and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Lead the purchasing of all inventories
- Manage inventories and ensure they are always correct
- Supervise all kitchen staff
- Lead the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of salads, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts, and any other foods as planned
- Lead the planning and maintenance of a good environment for the preparation of foods
- Overseer the use of kitchen equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Serve customers as may be required
- He/She will carry out any other duties assigned by the Kabwe Branch Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Commitment and passion for company growth above all else
- This is a full-time on-site position located in Kabwe requiring long hours of work. As such, the role is ideal for physically fit candidates able to remain standing and work for long hours
- G12 Certificate
- Certificate in catering or related fields
- A minimum of 2 years work experience as a Chef in a reputable organization
- Trustworthy with traceable contacts and a fixed abode
- Resident of Kabwe or willing to permanently relocate to Kabwe
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Fluent in at least one Zambian local language
- Traceable Referees – all Referees will be contacted
- Valid Zambian National Registration Card
- Honesty in all dealings and must have no criminal record (Background checks will be done)
- Ability and willingness to abide by all company policies and follow guidance from the Kabwe Branch Manager.
