Business Development Manager Uhuru Energy

Overview:
Uhuru Energy, a renewable energy startup, seeks an experienced Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and founder and will be responsible for managing a team of business developers and environmental specialists. This is a key leadership role that requires a proven track record in business development, strong teamwork and leadership skills, and a passion for environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of business developers and environmental specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
2. Contribute to the development and implementation of Uhuru Energy’s strategies, with a focus on expanding the company’s reach in the renewable energy sector.
3. Analyze market trends, regulations, and competitor activity to identify potential customers and project opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
4. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential and existing customers, investors, government agencies, and partners.
5. Work with technical and engineering teams to develop compelling proposals for potential projects.
6. Oversee the execution of new business development projects, managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
7. Work with the finance team to ensure effective financial management of business development activities, including budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development.
• Project management experience.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets and technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
