ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (01)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Undertakes effectively, payroll inputs in order to facilitate payments of salaries and other allowances.
- Undertakes timely and accurately the maintenance of books of accounts in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information.
- Undertakes timely banking of revenue collections in order to safeguard public funds.
- Undertakes effectively, preparation of responses to audit queries in order to facilitate decision making.
- Undertakes timely, preparation of monthly expenditure statements in order to monitor levels of expenditure.
- Undertakes timely, preparation of registers of damages and losses in order to facilitate recoveries of government funds and property.
- Undertakes timely, recoveries of loans and advances in order to facilitate repayments.
- Undertakes timely, preparation of financial reports in order to facilitate decision making.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 school certificate
- Minimum of two-three years relevant experience in a similar field
- Diploma in Accounting, finance or any other related discipline
- Professional membership in related field
- Competent in accounting software programs
- Knowledge in Microsoft office
