We are looking for a responsible Driver to transport staff and organization clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Your job will be highly important in ensuring the team meets its goals of efficiency and effectiveness. You should be skilled at organizing and communicating. Interpersonal skills will also be very useful and you will be in contact with various staff members.
Role and Responsibilities
Below are the roles and responsibilities
· Lead and serve in a manner that brings honor to our Lord Jesus Christ
· Be above reproach in all your dealings related to your position at Wiphan
· Ensuring Company policies and procedures are followed
· Planning each route based on road and traffic conditions
· Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
· Pick up staff from the place and at the time they have requested
· Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs
· Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use
· Updating monthly mileage records
· Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings
· Promptly inform the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours
· Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management
· Have upper body strength and physical stamina
· Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
· Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
· Answer clients’ questions about the area and local places of interest
· Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
· Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
· Book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum qualification of a Grade 12 Certificate
Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Punctual and reliable
Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
Polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
