JOB PURPOSE:
- To perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting and financial duties required to support the efficient operations of the Finance & Administration Function.

JOB TASKS:
- Generation Source Documents & Maintenance of a Proper Filling System
a) Maintains payment vouchers and other supporting financial documents.
b) Keeps all financial documents safe and secure.
c) Maintains the Fixed Assets register for the company.
d) Updates records of assets held by every company officer.
e) Prepares source documents such as Purchase Orders, Goods Received Vouchers, etc.
f) Issues receipts for all incoming resources where applicable.
g) Files and arranges financial documents in proper sequence for easy of retrieval. - Stock Management
a) Maintains up to date physical inventory records at any time.
b) Safeguards & protects stocks from exposure to poor storage conditions.
c) Prepares stock holding budgets.
d) Undertakes periodical stock checks.
e) Reconciles physical stocks to stock ledger - Data Entry
a) Enters Purchase order information into appropriate software programs.
b) Posts Journal Vouchers to the Ledger.
c) Uploads approved data from various sources into SAGE accounting system. - Cash & Petty Cash
a) Initiates upload of payments onto the banking platforms.
b) Withdraws / deposits cash and cheques when necessary.
c) Maintains Petty cash float & manages petty cash records.

d) Performs monthly Petty Cash and Cash-float reconciliations through SAGE Accounting
e) Verifies customer receipts and bank deposits.
- Provision of Financial Information
a) Assists superiors with financial data as requested for financial statements preparation.
b) Provides ledger analysis of accounts as requested by superiors for financial management. - JOB DIMENSIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
a) Minimum level of academic and professional qualifications required to perform effectively in the role
i) Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better in Mathematics and English
ii) Advanced Diploma CA Zambia, CIMA II, ACCA II, or higher its equivalence
iii) ZiCA Member a must.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum number of years of experience the jobholder is required to have to be appointed to the position.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an Accounting environment
