Cfb Medical Centre is a private hospital in Lusaka seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Sonographer to join our staff:

Job Summary

To carry out high quality diagnostic patient focused ultrasound examinations and provide a clear and concise report in line with recommended guidelines. To perform ultrasound examinations relevant to the clinical history documented on the ultrasound referral and produce a written report based on the findings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To utilise specialist ultrasound knowledge to ensure that images are of the highest diagnostic quality.
• To maintain professional standards and effective communication to assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective ultrasound service.
• Perform ultrasound scans/sonograms for patients as per the doctor’s requests.
• Present the sonograms and preliminary findings to the doctors and specialists.
• Examine images, search for differences between healthy and pathological areas and determine if the scope of the exam should be extended based on preliminary findings.
• Complete the appropriate documentation and maintain patients’ medical records.
  Maintain and clean the sonographic equipment.

The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes.

• Full grade 12 certificate with credit in English
• Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
• Registered with HPCZ
• 2 years’ work experience
• Computer Literate
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills
• Trustworthy and initiative
