Job Purpose
To work independently and provide end-to-end People and Culture (P&C) value chain business partner support for relevant portfolio/s, applying specialist knowledge and judgement to resolve complex challenges. To provide business partnering advisory support to business stakeholders within the allocated portfolio/s of responsibility, giving P&C guidance in support of the overall people experience and business objectives in an ever-changing environment.
Job Functions
Customise people plans, catering for current and future needs, for execution within the portfolio/s by identifying the experiences employees value least and most and basing recommendations on these insights to achieve the People Promise.
Develop a plan for the skills of the future, identifying required capabilities for the relevant portfolio/s, to meet the overall needs of the organisation in delivering on the People Promise.
Lead local P&C service delivery within the portfolio/s to ensure consistent application and operational excellence, ensuring visibility of the Business Partnering team in resolving highly complex problems.
Provide guidance on P&C strategy and initiatives to the portfolio/s, ensuring alignment to overall business strategy and objectives
to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the business.
Adhere to P&C data policies in line with Standard Bank Group (SBG) data standards so that quality data is consistently and appropriately stored, used and managed.
Adhere to SBG data security standards, ensuring compliance with data regulations, data privacy and data protection policies to ensure the organisation processes personal data of data subjects (employees, customers, and other individuals) in a compliant way.
Assess potential information management risks from a global perspective, in line with country/regional specific legislation and regulatory requirements; minimising data risk.
Champion the organisational values and culture and ensure adherence thereto within the portfolio/s, supporting a collaborative culture within an ever-changing environment.
Co-craft the appropriate organisational architecture required to fulfil business objectives with relevant leaders, taking into account P&C guidelines and practices when providing advice.
Collaborate with CoEs and business stakeholders, as custodian of the workforce experience, ensuring Business Partnering understands future as well as current business needs and is able to address these appropriately.
Collaborate with CoEs to provide tailormade future-focused Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) solutions which address business needs, for implementation within the portfolio/s. Collaborate with finance and operations teams regarding workforce planning within allocated portfolio/s, confirming compliance with budgetary requirements; contributing to accurate information on costs.
Contribute outside-in thinking on trends and market insights to inform and support integrated, people-driven decision making.
Control the resources, budgets and expenses for the allocated portfolio/s to ensure the business area remains within budget allocated on people line items, and enable the mitigation of financial risk for the organisation.
Create a proactive view of emerging risks in the business area by conducting detailed trend analysis on metrics/indicators; providing a summary view to the business together with potential mitigation plans.

Knowledge & understanding of the role P&C mgmt plays in enabling business commercial & social relevance, acquired through relevant experience. Demonstrated track record successfully implementing integrated, effective & lasting P&C products/solutions in support of business specific objectives & driving better performance in the businesses. Knowledge & application of best in class P&C impact measures. Experience within a multinational company working with snr mgmt teams in a complex environment.
