**Job Description:**
We are currently seeking a highly skilled IT Technician with a specialization in hardware repair to join our dedicated team at Geekville Electronics Ltd. As an IT Technician (Hardware Specialist), you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware issues, ensuring the optimal performance of our computer systems and peripherals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Conduct hardware diagnostics and repairs for computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
– Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware components such as RAM, hard drives, graphics cards, and processors.
– Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware-related issues.
– Perform routine maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of hardware systems.
– Assist in the procurement of hardware components and recommend upgrades as needed.
– Document and maintain accurate records of hardware repairs and replacements.
– Provide technical support to end-users for hardware-related inquiries.
**Requirements:**
– Proven experience as an IT Technician with a focus on hardware repair.
– In-depth knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals.
– Hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues.
– Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
– Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
– Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Hardware Technician, or equivalent will be a plus.
**Experience:**
– 2 years of relevant experience in hardware repair as an IT Technician.
