To be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of all IT Support service to university faculties, schools and departments in order to contribute to organization efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitoring and reporting on service requirements and assisting in the development of the IT Support Service, whilst nurturing positive relationships with the University, lecturers, staff and students.
The officer will be able to interact with various ICT service providers
This position will be to regularly consult with the following:
• All end users of ICT services

7. Assist with any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. System administration
Provide input and support to the system administrator for the Records Management system
Document incidents and requests ensure speedy resolution according to agreed procedures
2. Customer Service support
Create and manage emails platform for all staff
Provide on-going support to end users and ensuring speedy resolution of system glitches
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor’s Degree
Information Technology – Computer Science
Information Technology – IT Engineering
Ideal would be a Master’s Qualification
Grade 12 School certificate with five ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English.
Minimum of two years’ experience in information technology-based science
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
