Our client in Lusaka is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the Hospitality Industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordination of all maintenance activities in the company
- Ensure all types of equipment are checked regularly for proper and efficient operation.
- Operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
- Interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests promptly.
- Ensure maintenance request forms filled out for all equipment or areas in need of repair.
- Fix any water leaks, any electricity and light failure.
- Monitor any external or third-party vendor maintenance jobs.
- Ensure heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, Cold-water storage tanks, Hot water boiler, Bathroom exhaust fans, Windows etc are in good condition.
- Maintenance of the generator or solar systems.
- Check water ph levels for swimming pools and other water sources.
- To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment.
- Carry out specific oral and written instructions.
- Perform other duties incidental to position or as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- An appropriate professional or technical qualification
- At least 10 years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance and Management
- Good knowledge of building regulations, relevant health and safety legislation
- Project management experience
- An ability to manage contractors
- Good negotiating skills
- Good planning and organizing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
