Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance professional to join our team in the Hospitality industry. As a Maintenance team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of our property. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various equipment and facilities to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and guest rooms to identify and address maintenance issues promptly
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and painting walls
- Repair or replace faulty equipment and fixtures, ensuring they are safe and in working order
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and preventive maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs and installations
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests
- Assist with the general upkeep of the property, including landscaping
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
- Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in a hospitality setting
- Excellent knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix equipment malfunctions
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and contractors
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Basic computer skills
