On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a qualified Accountant to join the team. We are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
The accountant can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, monitor variances, and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Maintain the general ledger system, reconcile accounts, bank reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Working knowledge on preparing and file various tax returns in compliance with regulations and deadlines.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
- Monitor inventory levels, reconcile inventory accounts, and assist in the valuation of inventory.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and address any findings or recommendations.
- Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial processes efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Registered Member of ZICA.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Palladium.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
