Development Aid from People to People registered in 1990 as a national non-profit organisation has its head quarter in Ndola. The vision of DAPP is, through running grassroots projects, to raise awareness on how to improve people living conditions. DAPP seeks to build hope and to make disadvantaged people to stick together to fend for their family and community. DAPP and the communities work in partnerships on health, child development, education, human rights, economic empowerment including agriculture and environment. DAPP is also selling second hand clothes for generating additional funds to support social projects. It is funded by various local and international agencies and the Government of the Republic of Zambia through various line Ministries. DAPP works in 77 districts in all provinces and has over 2000 staff employed. It is a member of The Federation of Associations connected to the International Humana People to People Movement.
The Community Lead Monitoring (CLM) project in North-Western Province has the objectives to:
- Improve service delivery and client outcomes by identifying data-driven solutions that will overcome barriers and ensure beneficiaries access and receive optimal client-centred HIV services.
- Develop a shared understanding of the enablers and barriers to accessing and utilizing HIV services in a manner that is productive, collaborative, respectful, and solutions oriented.
Key activities are:
- To collect feedback from recipients of care including men, women, adolescents, people with disabilities and key populations in all PEPFAR supported health facilities in North-Western Province.
- Data analysis and information dissemination to PEPFAR, Ministry of Health (PHO) on various levels and partners implementing HIV related programs in the province.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings about HIV service delivery/improvement at all levels of the health service delivery system.
Job summary/ responsibilities:
Timely entry of all information collected into the project database.
- Take part in training of the CLM Facilitators and build capacity in the District Facilitators to ensure all forms received are correctly filled in.
- Analyse data received and conclude on the data in terms of identifying constraints in specific health facilities as well as possible solutions suggested by the receivers of care.
- Take part in revising the CLM tools, data base and management together with NAC and other CLM implementing organisations and other stakeholders.
- Make timely monthly reports to be shared with DAPP Management, PEPFAR, MoH and other stakeholders.
- Develop presentations for stakeholder meetings to share the data, constraints and solutions proposed by the receivers of care.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Ministry of Health at provincial and district levels and other partners through participation in Provincial/District Integrated Meetings and Technical Working Groups
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in monitoring and evaluation OR Bachelor’s degree in any field and certificate in M&E.
- At least three years’ relevant work experience with data entry, analysis and reporting in a similar position.
- Have competence and experience working with Advanced Excel, and electronic data collection tools.
- MUST have research experience.
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Good presentation skills (public speaking) including development of power point presentations.
- Able to revise M&E data entry and analysis systems in order to adopt to changed feedback collection demands.
- Experience in supervising and capacity building.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV prevention, care, and treatment, also of key populations.
- Excellent written English and oral communication skills to all levels of staff. Good report writing skills
- Must be from the targeted Province (North-Western)
