FOOD SAFETY MANAGER – NORTHERN REGION (01)
The required skills for the role include:
- Implementing a Food Safety Management System in line with Zambeef’s
- Food Safety & Quality Policy, and international best practices.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining applicable international, national, and local food safety & quality regulations and standards.
- Developing, reviewing, and updating standard operating procedures related to food safety.
- Coordinate with supply chain partners to assist in product improvement and innovation.
- Ensuring products are safe and of good quality.
- Overseeing food safety processes, audits, corrective actions, and product recalls.
- Training and developing employees with regards to the operational aspects of the food safety program, pest control, environmental, operational methods and personnel practices, and maintenance for food safety and hygiene /cleaning practices.
- Maintaining food safety documentation
- To complete food supplier audits (against the HACCP systems implemented) identifying corrective actions required and escalation of major concerns and ensure action thereof as required.
- Providing reports as required.
- Working closely with other safety roles – assisting as required and developing a supportive relationship
The required qualifications are:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Degree in Food Science, Biological Science or a similar field
- At least 3 – 5 years hands-on food safety experience. Impressive, demonstrated track record and skills /experience gained within similar position(s) at a similar level
- HACCP Certification will be an added advantage

- Expert in multi-tasking, time management, and planning work
