As the Head of Information Technology (IT), you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of technology operations to support our vision and mission. You will lead the IT department, develop and implement IT strategies, and ensure the efficient and secure operation of our IT systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision and leadership skills to drive innovation and enhance our organizational capabilities.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the IT department and provide strategic direction for the development and implementation of IT initiatives to support the company’s goals and objectives.
– Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems, to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
– Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data protection standards, and industry best practices.
– Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and technical support staff, to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
– Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their technology needs, prioritize IT projects, and allocate resources effectively to support the company’s strategic priorities.
– Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for their adoption to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive business growth.
– Monitor IT performance metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of IT operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
– Lead IT projects from inception to completion, including project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder management, to ensure successful outcomes.
– Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to the microfinance sector, and provide strategic guidance to senior management on IT-related matters.
– Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities and financial targets.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
– Proven experience 5 years in a senior leadership role within an IT department, preferably in the financial services industry, with a track record of successful IT strategy development and implementation.
– Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure management, cyber security, data management, and software development, with hands-on experience in implementing and supporting IT systems.
– Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
– Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and risk management to support the company’s mission and growth objectives.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
– Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the microfinance sector, such as data privacy laws, consumer protection regulations, and industry best practices.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL) and knowledge of microfinance software platforms are a plus.
