Sous Chef
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the Head Chef in developing and standardizing new recipes.
- Assists the Head Chef in the areas of food festivals, menu planning and pricing.
- Works closely with the purchasing officer for developing standard purchase specifications for various items.
- Ensures regular monitoring of clients’ feedback, prompt, efficient and accurate service to all customers along with the best quality products.
- Stays informed about the new developments in the world of cuisine, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment etc.
- Ensures that the kitchen is properly staffed and assists in supervising, training and monitoring of kitchen staff.
- Demonstrates proper usage of kitchen equipment and correct cooking techniques to kitchen staff.
- Ensures that all kitchen staff follows sanitation rules and regulations as well as safety standards.
- Undertakes any other relevant tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma in Food Production
- Minimum three (3) years similar experience
