Purpose

The Logistics and Supply Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective management of logistics and supply chain operations, contributing to our mission of improving global health outcomes. This role requires a meticulous and results-driven professional with a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and procurement.

Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management and Optimization · Maintain accurate inventory records. · Track stock levels. · Oversee stock replenishment to ensure timely availability of products and materials. 50%

2. Supply Chain Coordination and Quality Assurance · Collaborate closely with the procurement unit, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the punctual delivery of goods. · Implement quality control processes to ensure products meet specified standards. · Report any quality issues to relevant stakeholders. 20%

3. Shipment and Compliance · Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments. · Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and compliance with regulations. · Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including customs and import/export regulations. 20%

4.Demand Forecasting, Cost Optimization, and Data Analysis · Help prevent stockouts and excess inventory. · Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain. 10%

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Proven track record in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in supply chain and logistics software, Microsoft Office suite, and data analysis tools.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Certification in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
