The company has put in place a food integration system aimed at producing and delivering high quality and nutritious food products.
About the role:
Our client is looking for a capable and experienced company accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support the Company on all accounting processes.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of internationally accepted accounting principles, use of accounting software, preparation of financial statements and ad-hoc reports, and knowledge of compliance requirements in Zambia.
She or he shall be able to work autonomously, shall take initiatives and be a good communicator.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Analysis:
- Manage transaction posting in accounting system
- Maintain accurate ledgers & sub-ledgers for subsidiaries
- Process billing and manage receivables
- Conduct monthly ledger close procedures
- Handle payroll management
- Perform cash reconciliations and petty cash management
- Execute bank transfers and manage purchase requests
- Oversee expense management and assist in budget planning
- Prepare annual financial statements and handle statutory audits
- Generate management reports and analyze data
Tax & Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filing and annual return preparation
- Facilitate communication with tax administrations
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with local jurisdiction regulations
- Collect financial and power generation data for regulatory reports
- Assist in general administrative tasks
Requirements
- Five-plus years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or similar (Full Grade 12 Certificate, ACCA level 2, ZICA Licentiate, CIMA level 2)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), QuickBooks, Odoo and other relevant accounting software
