Right to Care is at the vanguard in supporting and delivering prevention, care, and treatment services for HIV and associated diseases. We work with government and communities to find pioneering solutions to build and strengthening public healthcare.

Our areas of expertise include HIV and TB care and treatment, pharmacy automation, medical male circumcision, and cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment.
In 2021, Right to Care Zambia was awarded a five-year project funded by USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The USAID Action HIV project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. The USAID Action HIV project will work closely with and in support of the Ministry of Health.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma – Information Technology/IMIS or related field.
- 3 years’ work experience.
Desirable Qualifications
- MCSE/CompTIA A+/Advanced Diploma in ICT.
- 4 years’ work experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Setup of Hardware platforms required for installation and configuration of Applications and Operating Systems.
- Undertake routine preventive, corrective and conditional maintenance of IT equipment as well as recommend for disposal any obsolete equipment.
- Ensure Operating Systems on end-point devices and Firmware on Network devices are up to date.
- To ensure all hardware related issues including end user computers, printers, and any other devices are resolved.Conduct Daily morning Health Checks and share report with IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager.
- End-user Account setup, and password resets on Active Directory and Office 365 as and when required.
- Setup user permissions in relation to Shared Folder access and allocation of network resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve all end-user related IT issues within the Service Desk SLA time frame, escalate to Back Office if need be.
- Ensure anti-virus on all user computers is up to date.
- Support end-users with any issues related to Business Applications and any other Applications including Smartcare, DMAD, Service Desk, Sage Evolution.
- Deactivate and/or remove all former RTC employees from the system.
- To ensure that stable and reliable internet connection is always available.
- Monitor network usage and ensure user compliance with approved guidelines.
- Ensure integrity of LAN/ WAN security.
- Perform LAN/ WAN support functions before escalating to Back Office.
- Monitor network security and report any potential or existing threats to the IT Security Officer.
- Monitor the Surveillance (CCTV) system to ensure all cameras and NVR are online, report any system failure to Back Office that requires specialized attention.
- To provide adequate protection and reduce the risk of data loss.
- To ensure that the print server is functional and in good state and that all users are able to print.
- Ensure Scan to email is working for all users.
- Install, upgrade, and configure network printers, directory structure, user access, security software and file services.
- Track and ensure IT assets register for the site is up to date with location, custodian, and device details such as serial number and asset tag.
