Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join the team. As a Pharmacist at the newly established pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications while providing personalized care and guidance to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor prescription inventory levels and place orders for medications and supplies as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacy practice and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Pharmacy.
  • Degree in Pharmacy will be an added advantage.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ progressive experience
  • Must be registered with Health Practitioners Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions, dosage forms, and pharmacokinetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
