As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Manager to join our team in Lusaka.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a competent Security Manager to organize and oversee all security operations of our company. The Security Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, and assets.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and other external stakeholders to address security concerns and incidents effectively.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems and respond promptly to any security breaches or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and other relevant activities.
- Conduct security briefings and training sessions for employees to promote awareness and compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in security management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Proven experience in security management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software.
- Certification in security management or relevant field (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response.
