Purpose of the role:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the warehouse facility. They are in charge of managing the flow of goods and materials, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Branch: Kansanshi, Solwezi
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Supervisor will be required to perform the following tasks:
Warehouse Operations
Plan, organize, and supervise all activities within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products or materials.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and efficient use of warehouse space.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and implement procedures for inventory control, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and replenishment.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement or purchasing departments to ensure optimal stock levels.
Team Management
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, setting goals, providing performance feedback, and conducting regular evaluations.
Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate employees to achieve productivity targets.
Process Improvement:
Continuously analyze warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize errors.
Introduce new technologies or systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance
Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Ensure that the warehouse facility is clean, organized, and properly maintained to meet safety standards.
Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
Promote a culture of safety awareness among employees, conduct regular safety training, and enforce proper handling of equipment, materials, and hazardous substances.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to warehouse activities, such as receiving reports, shipping manifests, and inventory records.
Prepare reports on key performance indicators, such as productivity, accuracy, and inventory levels.
Customer Service
Collaborate with customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, damaged goods, or shipping delays.
Maintain good relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Budgeting and Cost Control
Manage the warehouse budget effectively, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
Qualifications & Experience
Must have a full Grade 12 certificate.
Minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehousing in a related industry
Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or other relevant Professional Associations.
