Office Assistant Civil Aviation Authority

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a Statutory Body established by the Government of the Republic of Zambia under Section 3 of the Civil Aviation Authority Act No. 7 of 2012 to provide for the regulation and promotion of Civil Aviation in Zambia, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons who are ambitious, innovative, energetic and performance driven to fill the vacancy of Office Assistant.

The Civil Aviation Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill two positions of Office Assistant.

JOB PURPOSE

To undertake effectively the collection and delivery of mail and newspapers and attend to the movement of files between offices in order to facilitate smooth operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with office management tasks such as ordering and maintaining office supplies, ensuring cleanliness and organization of office spaces, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.

• Provide administrative support to various departments and units within the CAA including filing, photocopying and scanning documents
• Provide general support services as needed, including running errands, assisting with documents delivery, and other tasks to facilitate smooth office operations.
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor in order to contribute to the efficient functioning of the CAA offices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

a) Minimum Primary/Secondary Education:

• Full-Form V /Grade 12 Certificate

b) Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:

• 1 year in relevant field.

c) Other Skills and Attributes

• Client service orientation
• Proactivity in carrying out the works
• Self-motivated and team leader
• Computer literate.
• Must demonstrate high levels of hard work at all times.
• Maintain high levels of honesty and integrity in all interactions and tasks, ensuring that all responsibilities are carried out with transparency and accountability. Upholding ethical standards and adhere to the organisations code of conduct, demonstrating trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and financial transactions.
