Responsibilities:

• Undertake electrical repairs on various trucks.
• Repair parts and equipment when needed.
• Troubleshoot immobilizer and alarm systems.
• Gather information from drivers/ team about truck issues with their electrical system.
• Diagnose electrical issues and propose a course of action.
• Provide estimated time and cost for repairs.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Ability to work under pressure when needed.
• Passionate about their work and focused on meeting deadlines.
• A strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and components.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot/ sort complex electrical issues in trucks.
• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining electrical components such as alternators, starters, batteries, lights, and wiring.
• Familiarity with using diagnostic tools and software for identifying electrical problems.
• Atego, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania trucks, expertise in these specific brands’ electrical systems is essential.
• Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues.
• Efficiently manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Completion of an auto electrician certification program.
• 3 years or more experience working as an auto electrician is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License
