Job Description:
Quantum Leap Farms Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its team. The ideal candidate will provide support to the company by assisting with various accounting tasks. Responsibilities include processing transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
– Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
– Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
– Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed
– Assist in preparing and filing tax returns for the businesses
– Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
– Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
Requirements:
– A diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– Previous experience in accounting or finance is a plus
– Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
– Understanding of tax laws and regulations
– Preferably with own accommodation in Ndola
