Scope
To achieve company sales targets, establish new clientele and also maintain and manage the existing clients.
Key responsibilities
- To achieve sales of company’s products as per set financial targets for the year
- To evaluate and report all changes in the industry that influence trade and competitive activity to ensure the company maintains and increases its market share
- Maintain existing, and create new relationships with customers in order to promote increased awareness about the company and its product
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements and ensuring that set targets are achieved within prescribed time limits
- Persuading clients that a product or service will satisfy their needs
- Calculating client quotations and offering after-sales support services
- Carry out evaluation of the market to assess company effectiveness and competitiveness
- Coordinating sales projects and preparing reports
- Supporting marketing team by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
Academic/ Professional Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate
- At least 2 years proven work experience in business development, sales & marketing or similar role
- Minimum Diploma in Marketing or related field
- Experience in sale of electrical equipment/ products will be an added advantage
Skills/Competences
- Innovative and a self-starter
- Must be able to sell to customers
- Sales & Marketing background
- Must have good communication and presentation skills
- Team player
- Problem solving skills
- Valid drivers’ license will be a plus
