Job Summary:
Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Auto Electrician with a specialty in trucks, to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with truck electrical systems and a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical components of trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Diagnose and repair electrical faults in trucks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
– Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and components in trucks.
– Perform routine maintenance and inspections on truck electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
– Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
– Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals specific to trucks.
– Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
– Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
– Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to truck electrical systems.
– Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while performing electrical repairs and maintenance tasks.
– Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
Key Competencies:
– Suitable candidates should have experience with the latest technology in trucks and be up to date with advancements in truck electronics.
– Extensive knowledge of truck electrical systems, components and repair techniques.
– Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to truck electrical systems.
– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
– Excellent understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
– Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
– Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in auto electrical repair and maintenance.
– Experience with Mercedes-Benz trucks is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto electrician, with a focus on trucks.
– Relevant certification or diploma in auto electrical engineering or a related field.
– Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in trucks.
– Valid driver’s license.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience working in a dealership or authorized service centre for trucks.
– Additional certifications or training related to truck electrical systems.
