UNO Energies Zambia is a registered OMC and in the process of opening Fuel Stations across the Country.The company seeks to recruit a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer with previous exposure to the maintenance of fuel/gas stations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all fuel station equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all fuel station equipment, including pumps, dispensers, tanks, and pipelines.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Perform repairs on equipment and infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in fuel dispensing systems and related equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance and repairs.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and procurement of parts.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance operations.
Requirements & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fuel station equipment, including pumps, dispensers, tanks, and associated systems.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance engineering and safety protocols are an advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintenance work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to different fuel station locations across Zambia as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with local safety and regulatory requirements in Zambia.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, with a focus on fuel/gas station maintenance.
