Key Responsibilities
- Rebuild, replace, or repair vehicle parts such as engines, brakes, transmission lines, electrical assemblies, and accessories.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Inspect work performed by mechanics in overhaul and repair of automotive equipment.
- Review and approve completed work orders.
- Perform safety inspections for all vehicles/ equipment.
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
- Recommend replacement of existing equipment.
- Conduct annual inventory of physical equipment and supplies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of proven work experience in a supervisory role
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Heavy equipment repair
- Knowledge and experience of managing and handling heavy duty Equipment
- Member of EIZ
- Qualified Technician with proven experience in working with various heavy duty equipment
- Good leadership and management skills.
- Effective Time Management
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
