Kasembo Distributors Limited was incorporated in 2001 to meet the growing needs of the local FMCG market. It is a Zambian owned family business. Originally operating out of Ndola in the Copperbelt the company was moved to a new premises in Light Industrial area of Lusaka. Over the years the company grew in terms of fleet size, and number of clients and staff.
Our main line of business is running a consolidated scheduled delivery service to the formal trade. (Shoprite, Pick N Pay, Choppies, various wholesalers) to nearly every major town throughout the country.
Job Title: Work Shop Foreman
Location: Lusaka

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all preventative maintenance to equipment and vehicles is planned and executed timeously.
- Ensure all work is carried out and completed with a high standard of workmanship and quality.
- Help ensure that the workshop is manned with the correct skills to facilitate satisfactory repairs.
- Monitor the movements and condition of all company heavy duty machinery, equipment and spares.
- To develop and improve current systems, controls, reports, and documentation.
- Implement cost saving initiatives and efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with other mechanics and workshop staff to ensure efficient repairs.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma / Trade Certificate in Auto Mechanics
- Driven by cost controls, whilst ensuring effective and efficient operations
- Experience in managing a workshop (maintenance of equipment and fleet)
- Promote discipline and accountability with a focus on building a productive team
- Computer literate, with reporting and data capturing ability
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Workshop.
- Must have good references, quality personal habits, be accountable and display exceptional imitative
- Proven supervisory skills and leadership Skills
- Familiarity with Atego, Volvo, Faw and Scania truck models.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Attention to detail and precision in repairs.
- Effective communication skills.
