Job Title: Sales Attendant
Location: Samutela Phones and Accessories, Great North Road, Opposite Mulungushi University
Main Campus, Kabwe
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
1. Job Purpose
To provide exceptional customer service and support sales operations at Samutela Phones and
Accessories, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers and achieving sales targets.
2. Key Responsibilities
– Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Address
customer inquiries and provide product information.
– Sales Support: Actively promote and sell phones, Laptops, accessories, and related products.
Achieve individual and store sales targets.
– Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products, including features,
specifications, and pricing. Educate customers on product benefits.
– Inventory Management: Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries, stocking
shelves, and conducting inventory checks.
– Point of Sale: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and
credit card payments.
– Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-presented. Replenish stock and
arrange merchandise attractively.
– Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to the Sales Manager for improving
service and product offerings.
– Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety
regulations.
3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
– Sales Targets: Achievement of individual sales targets and contribution to overall store sales
goals.
– Customer Satisfaction: Positive customer feedback and high levels of customer service.
– Transaction Accuracy: Accuracy in processing transactions and handling cash.
– Store Presentation: Cleanliness and organization of the store and merchandise displays.
– Inventory Accuracy: Proper management of stock levels and inventory records.
4. Qualifications
– High School Grade 12 certificate.
– Holder of Green National Registration Card (NRC)
– Proven experience in retail sales or customer service.
– Basic knowledge of electronics and mobile phones.
– Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Preferred:
– Previous experience in a similar retail environment.
– Familiarity with mobile phone and accessory brands and features.
– Sales or customer service certification.
5. Skills and Competencies
– Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer
service.
– Sales Skills: Strong sales abilities and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
– Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and retain product information.
– Communication: Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with customers.
– Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, including sales, inventory, and store
maintenance.
– Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling transactions and managing inventory.
6. Working Conditions
– Location: Samutela Phones and Accessories, Great North Road, Opposite Mulungushi
University, Kabwe.
– Hours: Standard retail hours with flexibility for additional shifts as needed.
– Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks such as
stocking shelves.
