Senior Manager – Commercial TopFloor Limited

Our client, a Water and Sanitation Authority is looking to hire a Senior Manager – Commercial to join their team. The job holder is responsible for the management of the commercial operations at the Company which include business growth, policy and strategy formulation, marketing, innovations and technology, resource mobilization, customer services, billing services, debt management, community mobilization as well as projects to achieve set company strategic objectives.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Strategy Formulation and Planning: Coordinates the formulation of Strategic and Operational Plans to assure the Company’s business expansion through service innovation and diversification.
Managing Business Relations: Builds strong business networks and relationships with key stakeholders and coordinates internal stakeholders’ engagements across multiple functions to drive the set business results and financial viability.
Business Continuity and Service Expansion: Lead the commercial team to effectively market and sell Company products and services and ensure growth and improvement in business and service delivery by collaborating with other internal departments.
Business Innovations and Diversification: Devise, coordinate and implement the Company’s Business Diversification Agenda to develop new products, services and business ventures for profit.
Policy Formulation: Formulate and update operating policies and operating procedures necessary for business operations.
Contracts Management: Draft, evaluate negotiate and execute various Contracts (including customer service contracts, and project contracts,etc.,); monitor compliance to Service Level Agreements / Minimum Service Level Guarantees and serve as Contract Manager on various designated contracts.
Billing and Revenue collections: Manage all billing services, debt management and revenue collections tasks for the company.
Resource Mobilization: Write business proposals and grant applications for funding by Potential Financiers in line with the Resource Mobilization Strategy.
Leadership and Performance Management: Effectively lead and manage employees it the commercial business unit and support them to achieve set performance targets in line with the organisational strategic plans.
Budgeting: Participate in corporate budgeting process and drive the revenue generation initiatives.

Requirements

Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of Five (5) “O” levels, which must include Credits or Better in English and Mathematics.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, Management Studies, or related field.
Master Degree in any of the stated required fields of study will be an added advantage.
Minimum of Seven (7) years’ traceable relevant experience with a least Five (5) of these working years in similar senior level Human Resource positions in a reputable organization.
Proof of valid membership to a relevant Professional body.
Excellent customer relations and marketing skills with proven experience leading successful marketing campaigns.
Should have proven experience in driving revenue generation and product innovation.
Demonstrable skills in information and communication technology; use of technology to drive commercial activities.
Robust business analysis and planning skills with ability to travel extensively and work long hours.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Should have background in drafting and negotiation of contracts and have strong negotiation skills.
Excellent networking skills with effective people management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrable ability to meet changing targets and deadlines.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License will be an added advantage.
Proven integrity, professionalism, accountability and innovation.
