We are looking for highly experienced Bulk Vehicle Operators (BVOs) to be based in Lusaka and Kalumbila.
Kalumbila x2 – Should be residents of either Solwezi or Kalumbila.

Job Purpose:
The Bulk Vehicle Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bulk materials such as fuel, gas, or other liquids to various locations. This role requires a high level of driving expertise, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to maintaining the operational efficiency of bulk transportation. The operator will work closely with the logistics and maintenance teams to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate bulk vehicles to transport fuel, gas, or other bulk materials to designated locations.
- Load and unload bulk materials in compliance with safety and company procedures.
- Ensure that the vehicle is equipped with proper safety equipment and that all equipment is functioning correctly before each trip.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, including hazardous materials handling and transport laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load weights, distances traveled, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Ensure that all paperwork, including delivery receipts, trip reports, and logbooks, is completed and submitted accurately.
- Follow company policies and procedures for the handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report any mechanical issues for timely repair and maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle at all times.
- Assist in other logistics or fleet duties as needed.
Qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license Class D.
- Proven experience in operating bulk vehicles, preferably in the fuel, gas, or liquids transport industry.
- Knowledge of bulk transport regulations, including safety and hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with dispatchers and customers.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle maintenance needs would be an added advantage.
