Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Job Type: 12 Months Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Marketing and Sales Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive sales growth, expanding our customer base, and building brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing:

1. Develop and implement marketing campaigns across various channels (social media, email, events, etc.)
2. Conduct market research and analyze competitor activity
3. Create engaging content (blog posts, videos, graphics, etc.) to attract and retain customers
4. Manage and maintain the company’s website and social media presence
5. Monitor and report on marketing metrics (e.g.. website traffic, engagement rates)

Sales:

1. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calls, emails, and networking
2. Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business
3. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
4. Negotiate and close sales deals
5. Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets

Shared Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, customer service, etc.) to align marketing and sales efforts
2. Develop and maintain sales collateral (brochures, datasheets, etc.)
3. Provide feedback on product development and pricing strategies
4. Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market developments

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field
2. 2+ years of experience in marketing and sales 3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and marketing software (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp)

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) 2. Knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g.. AdWords, Facebook Ads)
3. Certification in marketing or sales (e.g., HubSpot Inbound Marketing)
4. Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software
