Quantity Surveyor Virtual Assistant Zambia

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an exciting on-site project based in Kitwe. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and a proven track record of managing construction costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of materials and resources.
    Provide accurate valuation reports and assist in contract administration.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and variations to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend solutions to mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost planning, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD, WINQS. PLAN SWIFT e.t.c).

Employment Type:
Contract: 1 year (with possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements).

Location:
Kitwe (on-site position)
