Pharmacy Technician Immunization 4 Life

ESSENTIAL ROLES

Pharmacy Technician – i4life Zambia will be responsible for overseeing the distribution of medications to patients Including communicating with the clinical officers to determine the type of medication and dosage for patients, taking inventory of pharmaceutical drugs to reorder them based on demand and budget lines and interacting with patients to give them their prescriptions and answer medication questions. Preparing monthly reports to the DHO (District Health Office),Management and Donors. He/she will carry out their duties consistently, ethically and in line with international standards and evidence based pharmaceutical practices. In addition the Pharmacy Technician may be expected to work flexibly across as range of genres and across irrespective of their area of specialization in line with the core needs and to positively develop their understanding of the wider Humanitarian development environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Pharmacy or its Equivalent preferred
  • Must be registered and Licensed with the Health profession Council of Zambia(HPCZ)
  • 3 years’ practical experience in a busy Hospital or Clinic.
  • Proven communication skills in written and spoken
  • Competence in computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word) and knowledge in SmartCare, eLMIS or other Logistics systems
