Convoy Security Officer Sarazi Logistics Ltd

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Security Planning: Plan and coordinate convoy routes with logistics and security teams, ensuring that they are safe and secure.
• Threat Assessment: Monitor and assess potential risks along convoy routes, including road conditions, political situations, and any other potential security threats.
• Escort and Protection: Provide physical security to convoys, ensuring the safety of drivers, vehicles, and cargo from theft, hijacking, or other hostile actions.
• Communication: Maintain constant communication with the logistics team, drivers, and security personnel during the convoy operation, reporting any security incidents in real-time.
• Risk Mitigation: Implement measures to mitigate risks, including arranging for armed escorts, if necessary, and planning alternative routes.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company security protocols, local laws, and regulations concerning convoy security and transportation safety.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for drivers on security procedures, emergency protocols, and defensive driving techniques.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate and report all incidents, such as security breaches or accidents, and recommend corrective actions.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of convoy movements, security procedures followed, and any incidents encountered.
• Coordination with Law Enforcement: Liaise with local law enforcement agencies, military, or other security forces when required to ensure the convoy’s safe passage.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and defensive driving techniques.
Strong situational awareness and ability to quickly assess and respond to security threats.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with GPS tracking and communication devices.
Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging environments.
Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to transportation and security.

Proven experience in security or law enforcement.
