HR Officer Private

A multinational company is seeking applications from highly motivated, dynamic, and suitably qualified individuals for the position of Human Resource Officer. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to both the operational and strategic aspects of the organization.

Job Purpose

The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in human resource management, administration, and operational functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization’s daily activities while actively contributing to its long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Human Resource Planning: Assist department heads in identifying staffing needs, determining necessary skills, and assessing the costs of development programs.
2. Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including advertising vacancies, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
3. Employee Relations: Maintain employee records, manage data, and handle conflict resolution and employee grievances.
4. Training and Development: Coordinate training programs, workshops, and other employee development initiatives.
5. Benefits Administration: Oversee the management of employee benefits, including leave entitlements and time-off policies.
6. Compliance: Ensure the company’s compliance with Zambian labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
7. Office Management: Supervise office operations, including maintenance, supplies, and overall administration.
8. Records Management: Maintain up-to-date, accurate employee and administrative records.
9. Budgeting: Prepare and manage the HR and administrative budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
10. Reporting: Produce regular HR and administrative reports for management review.
11. Policy Development: Support the development and implementation of HR and administrative policies.
12. Special Projects: Assist in the execution of organizational projects and initiatives.
13. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
14. Other Duties: Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
At least three (3) years of relevant experience
Must be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
Strong knowledge of Zambian labor laws is an added advantage
