Learning & Development Officer (Nationwide Coverage)

A leading firm in the banking sector is on the lookout for a dynamic and results-driven Learning & Development Officer. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of implementing a robust learning and development strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and promoting collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Development
Coordinate the creation, delivery, and assessment of staff training programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s training matrix and budget.
Manage training expenditure, track variances, and provide detailed reports on budget performance.
Partner with external trainers to ensure seamless execution of training programs with all necessary materials and equipment.
Design and lead in-house training sessions, workshops, and develop engaging course materials such as handouts, manuals, and exercises.
Collect and analyze training data to measure effectiveness, assess ROI, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
Develop and oversee company-wide learning initiatives, utilizing best practices to ensure effective delivery, monitoring, and evaluation.
Performance Management Support
Collaborate with the HR team to design and implement performance management processes that align with company goals, ensuring employees understand how their contributions impact overall success.
Partner with key departments (Budget, Strategy, HR) to track progress throughout performance cycles (goal-setting, mid-year, and year-end reviews).
Assist in designing employee development and recognition systems, working closely with HR leadership.
Conduct skills gap analyses to address performance discrepancies and recommend development initiatives.
Support leadership development and talent initiatives to address capacity or knowledge gaps within the organization.
Talent Development and Retention
Design career paths with tailored learning and development activities to enhance talent retention.
Collaborate with HR to ensure career progression discussions align with succession plans, promotions, and overall talent management.
Assist HRBPs in coaching managers to develop their leadership and mentoring skills.
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in learning and development or performance management.
Proven experience in developing high-quality training materials.
Project management experience within performance management or L&D roles is a plus.
