Job Title: Lodge Manager

About
Nkamba Bay Lodge is a fishing safari lodge located on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in the Nsumbu National Park – the only lodge in the park – in Northern Zambia.
Role Description: can be single or a couple
Position Overview:
This is a full-time on-site role as a Lodge Manager located in Northern Province, Zambia.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Lodge Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge, and on-site maintenance of lodge, boats, and vehicles.
- Managing staff and rosters,
- Ensuring excellent customer service, handling budgeting, and some financial duties.
- Any other duties assigned by the management team within the scope of work

- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a remote setting and manage responsibilities independently.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to guest service and lodge operations.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience in budgeting and financial management
- Ability to live in a remote bush setting for long periods
- Ability to provide training and guidance to staff
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Guiding experience
Qualifications:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism or relevant/applicable qualification.
- Previous experience in the lodge industry – minimum 2 years
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Driving license and own car
- Basic maintenance skills – plumbing, electrics, vehicles and boats
- Computer skills – work and Excel for stock management
- Coxswains license
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
