Lubasi Home is currently looking for a qualified person for a position of COUNSELLOR
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma/Certificate in Psycho-social Counselling
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- More than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Must be able to use computer software skills specifically in Microsoft Excel and Word
DUTIES
- The counsellor shall act in consultation with the facility Coordinator.
- The Counsellor is expected to:
- Devote herself/himself to the welfare of the children.
- Ensure that Lubasi Home/Lushomo Trust-Dani’s Home is operating in the best interest of the children.
- Organise and conduct counselling sessions for the children.
- Do counselling for the guardians when need arise.
- Keep records of all counselling sessions.
- Prepare monthly reports to the Founder/Coordinator
- Work in consultation with the Founder/Coordinator with regard to day-to-day work.
- Provide motherly care
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Founder/Coordinator
