About

Nkamba Bay Lodge is a fishing safari lodge located on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in the Nsumbu National Park – the only lodge in the park – in Northern Zambia.

Role Description: can be single or a couple

Position Overview:

This is a full-time on-site role as a Lodge Manager located in Northern Province, Zambia.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Lodge Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge, and on-site maintenance of lodge, boats, and vehicles.
• Managing staff and rosters,
• Ensuring excellent customer service, handling budgeting, and some financial duties.
• Any other duties assigned by the management team within the scope of work

• Ability to live in a remote bush setting for long periods
• Ability to provide training and guidance to staff
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Guiding experience

Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism or relevant/applicable qualification.
• Previous experience in the lodge industry – minimum 2 years
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Driving license and own car
• Basic maintenance skills – plumbing, electrics, vehicles and boats
• Computer skills – work and Excel for stock management
• Coxswains license
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
